Home runs have been flying off of the bats of the Chicago White Sox! They look to keep up the power, and consequently, the winning! The Detroit Tigers were off to a hot start, but the roles have reversed between these two ball clubs.
Dylan Cease (3-1, 3.26 ERA) is having a solid sophomore season. His last outing was against these Tigers on August 12. Cease did give up five runs (only one was earned) across six innings and seven hits. Look for Cease to keep doing what he does!
Tarik Skubal will be making his big league debut during this evening’s ballgame. With the 255th overall pick in the ninth round in 2018, he sees the greens of a major league ballpark for the first time as a starting pitcher. As exciting as this is for him, he faces a club who notoriously does very well against MLB debuts.
This squad will look to make Skubal’s debut not so easy:

James McCann starts at catcher after Yasmani Grandal left yesterday’s game with a back injury; Yaz is day-to-day. With that, José Abreu slides back up to the third spot, so Eloy Jiménez will bat cleanup.

Jacoby Jones slides down to the seventh spot, so Niko Goodrum will lead the offense off to start the game.
The Sox plan to extend their win streak to three starting at 7:10 p.m. CT. NBC Sports Chicago has the broadcast, and WGN has the radio. May Cease keep pitching well and may the Sox continue to hit all of the home runs!
