The playoff scenario is complicated, still. Thankfully, MLB.com writer Do-Hyoung Park has flow-charted it for us:

In short, the White Sox can still be the No. 2, 3, 4, or 7 seed. But in order to stay at home for the first round, the South Siders need to beat the Cubs today.
Here’s who is trying to do that:

The Cubs, having already locked themselves into their seed and division title, are sending out a lesser lineup:

No guarantees ... but this team is not full strength. So the White Sox should be able to handle their business, then wait on the result of Cincinnati at Minnesota for their final placement.
In other news, Leury García is back at Sox Park and working out. The rumors are that he will be on the postseason roster. Eloy Jiménez, per Ricky, is getting exponentially healthier and seems on track to be active on Tuesday as well.
It’s the last Jason and Steve game of the year, so enjoy it!
