The White Sox managed to skate through two of their dicier starters leading up to a weekend that will see Lucas Giolito and Dallas Keuchel throw. If not the catbird seat, it’s a pretty nice perch.
So, the bad news: Aaron Bummer was transferred to the 45-day IL today. But per Ricky’s comments today, it was more procedural and doesn’t effect the expectation that Bummer will come back from his biceps nerve injury before season’s end.
In terms of the active roster, because the bullpen isn’t tattered enough, Jace Fry just hit the 10-day IL with back spasms. Aaron McRae, already in K.C as a member of Chicago’s taxi squad, is activated and tilts the relief corps even more to the right.
So, how about some good news? The White Sox get to face another lefty on Saturday!
