LCS Gamethreads: Red Sox at Astros (Game 2), Braves at Dodgers (Game 1)

Maybe Carlos Correa will again swing, pause, look at his watch, then run the bases on a ball into the Crawford Boxes.

Game 2 of the ALCS between a Bad Choice and a Worse Choice takes place early, 3:20 p.m. CT on FOX/FS1. The Dodgers host Atlanta as the second game, starting at 7:08 p.m. CT on TBS.

This is written too early for the game lineups, but Dusty is confident, so his lineup is already out:

Nathan Eovaldi, who most thought would be the Game 1 starter for Boston, gets the pill. Luis Garcia starts for Houston, making this matchup a decided advantage for the Red Sox.

In L.A., no starters have been officially announced as of Saturday morning, but with Max Scherzer’s use in Game 5 of the NLDS it appears Corey Knebel will open back-to-back playoff games, two days ago (NLDS Game 5) and tonight. Max Fried is expected to take the hill to open things for Atlanta.

Not too many days of double-games left in 2021, so let’s try to enjoy them while we can.
