The Desert Dogs came away with a win on Saturday, but only one White Sox entry played that day, and Yoelqui Céspedes. He went 1-for-4 and scored a run as well, contributing to a 6-4 victory. His lone hit was a single, and he didn’t walk or strike out.
In Monday’s game, the Desert Dogs had a hell of a day — was punctuated by a José Rodríguez grand slam.

That was Popeye’s lone hit of the day, and what a time to have it, with three people on base. Rodríguez finished the day 1-for-4, with the grand slam being his first AFL homer. Yoelqui Céspedes did not get a hit on an 0-for-5 day, but he still got on base, and stole a base to boot.
Caleb Freeman rounded out the White Sox players on Monday, with a 1-2-3 eighth inning that included a strikeout. The game was already out of reach, so Freeman was not managing a close game, but he did well anyway, as his inning only took seven pitches.
