Zero Sox position players got into this one, a 9-2 Desert Dogs victory over the Surprise Saguaros. Yolbert Sánchez has only played in two games total out of nine, and continued to not appear today.
J.B. Olson pitched the seventh and it went about as well as anyone could hope, two field outs and one swinging strikeout. McKinley Moore took over for the eighth and things went much more poorly, the shutout ending on just his second batter faced; the inning went double-triple-sac fly before he retired the side. Olson’s ERA has dropped to 4.76; Moore’s has risen to 5.40 (or, in other words, Olson has allowed three runs in 5 ⅔ innings and Moore has allowed two in 3 ⅓).
You might also have noticed that MLB/MiLB/AFL has really challenged us with photos. Beyond that impressive stats page above, for AFL selection and Friday night pitcher McKinley Moore, what photos we can access are plenty funky. No matter what voodoo attempted, AFL head shots via Getty look like this:

Despite hovering above the mound on a magic carpet ride, Olson did rather well tonight. Well played, J.B.
