It was one of the largest turnouts for a championship celebration in Chicago sports history, as nearly two million people lined the parade route, according to the Chicago Police Department, in the downtown area/South Side, to honor the World Series champions. White Sox players and management addressed the crowd, and Paul Konerko presented the last out/game ball to owner Jerry Reinsdorf.
