Sadly, Sharing Sox was recorded moments too early to include the huge Chris Getz announcement, so it’s all about current players instead. Well, that and the failed MLB attempt to connive the players into major concessions for 2021.
SSS duty geezer Leigh Allan and his son and west coast correspondent, Will, delve into their own preferred playoff sizes — oddly, they disagree — before moving on to Minnesota’s announcement that is even bigger than Chris Getz news, namely that Nelson Cruz will continue to have the White Sox to kick around and that they are talking with Alex Colomé.
After that, it’s a journey to the pitching mound to disagree about the value, if any, of the Carlos Rodón signing and the possibility that Ethan Katz is the Anne Sullivan of pitching coaches, able to miraculously turn Dylan Cease or Reynaldo López or Rodón, or — what the heck — all three into viable starting pitchers. Helen Keller may have been less of a challenge.
And, yes, it’s true — an entire podcast without ever once mentioning that Tony guy.
