Sudden Sam Sherman is likely on the recap coverage tonight, but as he is otherwise engaged pregame, you get this alternative take on tonight’s game.

Let’s eyeball the Pale Hose:

That No. 1-5 looking a little bit Opening Day-ish, the bottom half a bit Sunday getaway game-y. Red-gloved ReyLo is on the mound for his second start. We recently learned his wipeout curve, last seen somewhere on the outskirts of WDC, is back in the mix on the South Side:

In notable news of late outta Cincy, Joey Votto is on the COVID IL and it was recommended that anyone in close contact with him quartantine as well. To me, that seems like it would be the whole team — but that’s not practical, eh, so let’s just run the regulars, like [checks notes] “CF Strange-Gordon” out there to play tonight.

Sam will be with you later on for the nighttime recap. You can listen on Reds radio, if you have a shortwave or are an internet whiz/subscriber/pirate. Otherwise, Gameday it along with Sam and the gang.
