There’s no Crosstown Cup on the line today, but the White Sox are looking for back-to-back wins for the second time this spring as they take on the Chicago Cubs. The White Sox improved to 7-10-5 with an impressive 7-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Monday. The Cubs are 12-6-3 in Cactus League play.
Dallas Keuchel takes the mound for the White Sox, looking to bounce back from a rough first start against the Royals. The 33-year-old southpaw gave up five runs on five hits over 2 1⁄3 innings in his first Cactus League start. He said he’s expecting to throw around 90 pitches today.
Jake Arrieta isn’t the same Cy Young contender he provided the Cubs in his first stint with the team. He’s had a solid spring training, though, posting a 2.89 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 9 1⁄3 innings.
