Happy Sunday!

It’s always a great day for some afternoon baseball. As we officially wrap up the first week of spring training, the Sox are looking to close the week off with a win after their strong offensive performance and 7-0 win yesterday. The team will be back at Camelback Ranch today and facing the Colorado Rockies, a team that the Sox honestly haven’t seen in a while.

It seems like the perfect opportunity to try and grab a win with Lucas Giolito on the mound starting for the Sox. In his last spring training start against the Rangers, he fanned four batters in only two innings pitched, so there’s no doubt he will come out strong once again.

Here is today’s full lineup:

Yermín Mercedes is coming off of a great offensive performance yesterday, so there’s no surprise he’s getting the start again. Along with Tim Anderson, José Abreu, Yoán Moncada, and Eloy Jiménez, the lineup looks pretty powerful and hungry for some home runs. Leury García will get the start at second base, as Nick Madrigal is yet to make his first spring training appearance.

The Sox will face RHP Germán Márquez, who is making his first appearance this year after posing a 4-6 record and a 3.75 ERA in the 2020 season.

Although the game won’t be televised, a live stream on whitesox.com, YouTube, and Facebook (FB is in-market only) will be available, along with coverage on ESPN 1000 if you want to listen in on the action.
