South Side Sox 2021 Player of the Week (ending April 23): Tim Anderson

After returning from the injured list, TA7 is back and cooking (spaghetti)

Mitch Ransdell/South Side Sox

It’s been a wacky week for White Sox fans.

With snowed-out games in Boston and Cleveland, a fan getting body slammed after running clear across the outfield, and a couple soul-sucking days of no baseball, we’ve had a plateful.

Now, to lighten the mood, how about some spaghetti?

Shortstop Tim Anderson came in hot from the injured list, knocking hits in six straight games. And if leadoff homers are your cup of tea, he’d be more than happy to oblige.

Averaging .340, he’s nicely on track for this time of year.

His presence has been felt in the clubhouse, too. The rest of the White Sox were in need of a boost, and the return of TA7 was just the ticket. With José Abreu getting things locked down and the continuing saga of Yermín Mercedes, things are looking up.

Oh, and if you run to the grocery store this week, be sure to pick up some more pasta.
