Lance Lynn has returned from the Injured List just in time for the White Sox to bounce back after a tough loss last night versus the Cleveland Baseball Team. In yet another La Russa lineup construction that only his dearest of fans can love, Andrew Vaughn once again takes a seat on the bench so that Jake Lamb can strut his stuff in left field.
That aside, the rest of the lineup is largely the same, keeping the formula that has brought the White Sox success over the last 10-plus games. On the other side, Cleveland will be without Franmil Reyes as he goes on the paternity list, with Daniel Johnson taking his spot on the roster and batting leadoff today.
Let’s take a look at both lineups:
Tim Anderson has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, going 18-52 (.346/.382/.500) with two doubles, two home runs, four RBI and 11 runs scored.
