There hasn’t been much joy in the baseball landscape for Twins fans. Being only two games ahead of the AL-worst Detroit Tigers, you would be forgiven for thinking the Twins should simply be called the T’s until further notice, as the wins have yet to come.
After sweeping the Royals, it’s a prime opportunity for the White Sox to make a statement and put away the Twins in a similar fashion. Dylan Cease will take the mound in the opener, and he will look to continue a run of good starts. On offense, the Sox have brought Adam Eaton back to the lineup to play RF and hit from the 2-spot, so hopefully, it’s a sign of improved health.

Of note for the Twins, they activated Luis Arráez and sent Nick Gordon down right before game time, and Arráez will be batting leadoff tonight. The always-crafty Kenta Maeda takes the mound. Maeda has struggled mightily this season (much like the rest of the Twins), but his stuff can keep hitters guessing if he’s on.
