While the White Sox may have met their match with the Houston Astros this week, there’s still much to be celebrated about this South Side rotation.
Carlos Rodón made the only solid appearance of the four Texas outings, carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning. Across his seven-inning appearance, he allowed just a single earned run, keeping his sparkling clean ERA at a lemony-fresh 1.83. This followed Lós’ previous outing against the Detroit Tigers, when he carried a no-hit bid into the seventh inning.
It’s safe to say that Rodón’s confidence has not worn thin over the first half of the season. He carries the White Sox night after humid night, proving with every pitch that he was born to be a backbone ace.
