Gamethread: White Sox at Tigers

On the road again...

The White Sox are back on the road against AL Central rivals and first up: the Detroit Tigers!

There were some transactions announced this morning:

Farewell, Yermín Mercedes. I hope to see you again soon. Good news on Jake Burger and I hope we see him often this weekend.

The Tigers are 11-9 in their last 20 games and 17-24 at home. Against right-handers, they’re 24-33 and 12-12 against left-handers. Against the Central, they’re 16-25.

Casey Mize is facing off against Lance Lynn. Mize is 0-2 against the White Sox, going 22 2/3 innings with a 4.37 ERA, giving up 17 hits and striking out 24. Lynn is 3-2 against the Tigers, going 30 innings and allowing 27 hits while striking out 35.
