It’s tough to write a gamethread when you’re in the middle of a move, so this one might be a little more bare than usual.
Possibly in lieu of lineups, as this is being written very early, here’s a tidbit:

And the catching situation, with the pending return of Yasmani Grandal, has been resolved. Seby Zavala has won this round over Zack Collins:
Prior to tonight’s series opener vs. the Cubs, the Chicago #WhiteSox reinstated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the 10-day injured list and optioned catcher Zack Collins to Class AAA Charlotte.

Here are the lineups:
The White Sox have hit 24 home runs in their last nine games against the Cubs, including five straight multi-homer efforts.

David Ross was smart to plug some Romines in tonight, vs. Dallas Keuchel:

Not that any of you but WIN should be in the habit of checking out our Cubs sister site, but there’s an interesting article over there that acknowledges the challenges they face as the White Sox are poised to take the city back over. The comments are actually somewhat sober, although no mention of Tribune ownership driving coverage over the balance of the Cubs “dominance” in the city is an oversight. You might also see a preview of the Sox sassed up by Brett Ballantini over there sometime today as well.
