Gamethread: Division Champs at Also-Rans

Yep, it’s White Sox-Cleveland, nightcap after a clinch, so you’ll be able to smell the beer-soaked jerseys on the broadcast.

OK, we’re celebrating the division title all day here, so, whatever, here’s the nightcap gamethread, read it, don’t, I gotta get back to the real programming on site.

This d-lineup tells us two things:

  1. We know the sort of game Tony La Russa feels comfortable starting Zack Collins at catcher for.
  2. Andrew Vaughn is at third base!

I really was sure we’d see Gavin Sheets catching, or Luis Robert pitching. Although, hey, notable, Michael Kopech with the start, Rick Hahn said back in February or so the plan was to keep him fresh for ... October ... almost there ...

Cleveland has some guys playing, they didn’t care enough to tweet the lineup out for the opener, and don’t care enough for the nightcap. Well, we don’t care about you either, Guardians roller derby team.

NBCSCH, ESPN 1000, Ozzie is sure to be borracho by post of a second game, Frank’s doing extra nugenix pushups in the green room.
