Personally, I like the idea of returning to a 154-game season to accommodate additional playoffs and avoid November baseball.

While certainly a believer in baseball not having a clock, simply enforcing the rules of the game (getting the batter in the box, having a pitcher throw instead of dick around on the mound) would have avoided a pitch clock, the clock theoretically avoids some ump-player conflict.
