  • Gordon Beckham's first rehab start: 2-for-4, one walk, one strikeout, three runs scored.
  • Blake Tekotte went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base.
  • Carlos Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a walk, strikeout and sac fly. He was picked off.
  • Jordan Danks always drives in three runs when his brother starts: 2-for-4, double and a walk. He also stole a base.
  • Angel Sanchez: 1-for-3, walk and a strikeout.
  • Bryan Anderson launched long homers, accounting for the hits in his 2-for-5 night. One K.
  • John Danks: 4.2 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 5 K, 2 HBP.
  • Jhan Marinez: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 2 K

Birmingham 2, Jackson 1 (Game 1, 7 innings)

  • Keenyn Walker went 1-for-3 with a strikeout. He was picked off once, but did rack up an outfield assist.
  • Marcus Semien singled twice and struck out once.
  • Trayce Thompson went 2-for-3 with a solo homer.
  • Andy Wilkins struck out twice while going 0-for-3.
  • Tyler Saladino went 1-for-3.
  • Michael Blanke went 1-for-3 with a solo shot.

  • Keenyn Walker wore the collar with two strikeouts.
  • Marcus Semien went 1-for-3 with a solo homer (his third) and a walk.
  • Tyler Saladino went 1-for-3 with a strikeout.

  • Joey DeMichele went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts, but the hit was a walk-off single.
  • Rangel Ravelo went 1-for-4 in his return from the DL.

Kannapolis 5, Hagerstown 0

  • Micah Johnson went 1-for-5 with a strikeout and his 39th stolen base.
  • Jake Cose: 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 7 K, 2 WP. His day was abbreviated because of a collision:

Starting pitcher Jake Cose fanned seven batters while giving up two hits over 4.0 innings but left the game early due to a left knee contusion, aggravated by a first inning collision at home plate. He is not expected to miss his next scheduled start.
