Charlotte 6, Indianapolis 2

  • Blake Tekotte went 1-for-3 with a triple.
  • Carlos Sanchez went 3-for-5 with a strikeout and his 11th steal.
  • Brent Morel also pounded out three hits, going 3-for-4 with a triple and a walk.
  • Josh Phegley went 2-for-5 with his 13th homer. He struck out once and was caught stealing.
  • Erik Johnson survived control issues in his debut: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 5 BB, 6 K, 55 of 102 pitches for strikes.

Mississippi 4, Birmingham 1

  • Marcus Semien doubled, drew two walks, was hit by a pitch and struck out.
  • Tyler Saladino went 0-for-3 with a walk, HBP and a strikeout.
  • Trayce Thompson went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Andy Wilkins did the same, without the K.
  • Jared Mitchell went 0-for-2 with two walks and a strikeout.

Winston-Salem 9, Lynchburg 2

  • Courtney Hawkins is now hitless in his last 17 ABs after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. He did draw a walk.
  • Joey DeMichele went 2-for-5 with a strikeout.
  • Rangel Ravelo came a homer short of the cycle, with a strikeout in the other at-bat.
  • Myles Jaye: 6 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 K

Kannapolis 5, Augusta 3

  • Tim Anderson went 2-for-4 with a walk, strikeout, and his second steal.
  • Micah Johnson went 2-for-5, and also committed his 19th error.
  • Jason Coats went 0-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout.
  • Keon Barnum, 1-for-5 with three strikeouts.

Kingsport 9, Bristol 0

  • Victor Velasquez went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Trey Michalczewski did the same, but he doubled.
  • Carl Thomore went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.
