It might take a backseat to the finale of the Chico's Bail Bonds Crosstown Cup, but you'll be able to catch the Charlotte Knights play in their new downtown (technically Uptown) stadium this coming Thursday.
Last week, Minor League Baseball and CBS Sports Network announced a partnership to air a "Game of the Week," from the start of May through early August. The press release says CBS Sports Network plans to showcase ballgames from Single-A through Triple-A; right now, the schedule only runs through May and involves only Triple-A teams.
- May 8: Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Phillies) vs. Charlotte Knights (White Sox), 7:05 p.m. ET
- May 15: Albuquerque Isotopes (Dodgers) vs. Fresno Grizzlies (Giants), 10:05 p.m. ET
- May 22: Durham Bulls (Rays) vs. Columbus Clippers (Indians), 7:05 p.m. ET
- May 29: Iowa Cubs (Cubs) vs. Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals), 8:05 p.m. ET
If the rotation holds, we would get to see Felipe Paulino's second rehab start, which isn't much of a selling point. The best-case scenario has a rainout intervening and Erik Johnson getting pushed back a day.
Sunday's scores will appear in the comments shortly.
