The Birmingham Barons had a productive weekend on the road in Montgomery, Alabama. After losing the first two games of the series on Wednesday and Thursday, the Barons bested the Biscuits over the next three to take the series.
Moreover, the team's top two hitting prospects unlocked some achievements along the way using the long ball.
On Friday night, Courtney Hawkins hit his first career grand slam ...
... only to be upstaged the next day, when Tim Anderson homered to complete the cycle:
Hitting for the cycle requires more luck than skill, so it'd be absurd for Hawkins to come up with one of his own on the spot one day later.
Instead, he did something that's even harder to accomplish, at least in most stadiums: When he homered during Sunday's game, he hit a passing train with it.
Sunday's box scores will appear in the comments shortly.
