Yoan Moncada homers again, this time from the other side

For the second time in three games, Yoan Moncada hit a first-inning homer against Pawtucket. Here he is on Thursday from the right side of the plate:

Charlotte 6, Pawtucket 4

  • Yoan Moncada went 2-for-3 with a homer, walk, strikeout and two stolen bases.
  • Willy Garcia played center again and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Nicky Delmonico was 2-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Danny Hayes homered, walked and struck out twice.
  • Adam Engel returned to the lineup after four days off, going 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
  • Roberto Pena was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
  • Tyler Danish: 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K

Tennessee 4, Birmingham 0 (Game 1, 7 innings)

  • Eddy Alvarez went went 3-for-4.
  • Jake Peter, 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Courtney Hawkins went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
  • Trey Michalczewski, 1-for-3.

  • Alfredo Gonzalez was 1-for-3 with a double.
