White Sox Minor League Update: April 9, 2017

Charlotte has an ordinary day at the plate, yet still can’t stop winning.

  • Adam Engel and Yoan Moncada were both 0-for-4 with three strikeouts.
  • Willy Garcia went 2-for-3 with another homer and another walk.
  • Nicky Delmonico went 0-for-2 with a walk, strikeout and HBP.
  • Danny Hayes was 1-for-3 with a strikeout.

  • Moncada fouled a ball off his foot in his second at-bat, and spent the next few innings moving slower. He made a tough backpedaling catch through the pain, but he took his time getting back into the infield.
  • Norfolk’s lefties gave Tyler Danish a hard time, but the righties didn’t put up much of a fight.

  • Eddy Alvarez and Jake Peter were both 1-for-4 with a strikeout and an HBP.
  • Trey Michalczewski went 1-for-3 with two walks.

  • Zack Collins drew three walks in four plate appearances. He might need some help in the lineup.
