Draft-pick negotiations should start winding down now that college seasons are over

The College World Series Finals begin today, and no White Sox prospects will be a part of it. TCU (Evan Skoug) and Louisville (Lincoln Henzmann, Kade McClure) were eliminated, which means the remaining three unsigned picks from the first 10 rounds will be free to come to terms with the club.

The sixth-rounder McClure has already tipped his hand.

  • Yoan Moncada went 1-for-5 with a double and three strikeouts.
  • Jacob May was 2-for-5 with a double and a strikeout.
  • Danny Hayes was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.
  • Rymer Liriano went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.

  • Danny Mendick was 0-for-3 with a strikeout.
  • Tanner Banks had the second consecutive no-hit, high-walk outing for a Dash starter: 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 6 BB, 6 K.

  • Luis Gonzalez doubled and struck out thrice.
  • Aaron Schnurbusch walked twice and struck out twice.
