Another big trade, another big shift in the organizational depth chart

With the last wave of collegiate draft picks launching from the Arizona Rookie League and a new influx of talent from the seven-player trade, the farm system underwent another series of notable promotions.

Charlotte: Gets Jake Peter

Birmingham: Gets Danny Mendick.

Winston-Salem: Gets Ian Clarkin and Brannon Easterling.

Kannapolis: Gets Evan Skoug and Alex Call.

Kannapolis will also be the landing spot for Blake Rutherford, although it’s not yet official.

  • Jacob May went 0-for-5 with a strikeout.
  • Nicky Delmonico, 1-for-5 with a K.
  • Rymer Liriano was 2-for-4 with a walk, strikeout and stolen bas.
  • Jake Peter went 2-for-4 with a strikeout in his return to Charlotte.
  • Danny Hayes, 2-for-4 with a homer.
  • Carson Fulmer: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 2 HR

Birmingham 3, Jackson 0

  • Eddy Alvarez went 1-for-2 with two walks and a CS.
  • Danny Mendick was 1-for-4 with a homer in his Birmingham debut.
