Eloy Jimenez is back, and he makes his presence felt

MLB: All Star Game-Futures Game

If you’re looking for White Sox-related entertainment that’s easier to watch than actual White Sox baseball, I recommend giving Eloy Jimenez some of your time.

After a foul ball off his foot caused him to leave Friday’s game early and limited him to pinch-hit duty on Saturday, Jimenez eased back into a full day’s work by DHing on Sunday.

And goodness, he did some work.

Jimenez went 5-for-6 with a homer and two doubles during a crazy 11-inning, 11-10 victory over Salem. Winston-Salem trailed by two entering both the bottom of the 10th and 11th innings, but managed to come up with the necessary answer both times.

Here’s the rundown:

  • First PA: Routine flyout to center.
  • Second PA: Home run way out to left field (video).
  • Third PA: Lined single through the left side.
  • Fourth PA: Double to the base of the wall in dead center.
  • Fifth PA: Seeing-eye single up the middle, tying the game.
  • Sixth PA: Ringing double off the top of the wall just right of center (video).

Jimenez is now hitting .452/.514/.806 with five doubles and two homers in 36 plate appearances with the Dash.
